Danville firefighters battled a small apartment fire at Fair Oaks public housing complex this morning.
Danville Fire Department Lieutenant Chris McMahon says crews were called to the 900 block of Lewis Lane around 3:45 Wednesday morning for reports of a blaze in an apartment unit.
McMahon says a person was cooking on a stove and that caught fire. Damage was contained to a single apartment unit. No one was injured.
