New cases of COVID-19 have lead some area school districts to move to remote learning only a few days into the new school year.
Students at Salt Fork High School in Catlin will be learning remotely today through Friday, September 11th.
The high school saw four positive cases last week, which led the decision to go entirely remote for the next two weeks. All high school athletics are also suspended during the remote learning period.
Oakwood school officials announced Sunday that Oakwood Grade School will be closed through Wednesday due to positive cases there. Staff members will still report to the school for remote instruction, but students will be learning online for the first half of the week. The school is being cleaned, and anyone who came into contact with the students is asked to quarantine for 14 days.
Westville school officials sent a notification to parents saying a student who attends Judith Giacoma Elementary School has tested positive for the virus. They say the student has been quarantined and students will still attend in-person for now.
