Danville police have arrested a woman in connection with a shooting incident Saturday morning, while another shooting incident early Sunday morning is still being investigated.
Commander Josh Webb says officers responded to the 1100 block of Fowler Avenue around 2:00 Saturday morning and found a 29-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his lower torso. The man was taken to OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect, 32-year-old Toi Lewis, was arrested at 3:22 a.m. and taken to the Public Safety Building on a charge of aggravated battery with a firearm.
In the second incident, Webb says a 23-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were standing in the parking lot of the Untouchables Motorcycle Club in the 100 block of Commercial Street Sunday morning when someone shot at them from an unknown direction. Both victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
