A second person from Paris has been arrested in the death of Anthony Rauch.
Vermilion County Sheriff’s Department Captain Michael Hartshorn says 35-year-old Melinda Warfel was taken into custody Tuesday morning in Ridge Farm. She has been charged with first=degree murder, solicitation for murder, solicitation for murder for hire and concealing a body.
Warfel and her co-defendant, 24-year-old Dillon Steele, also of Paris, are being held at the Public Safety Building in Danville. Steele has also been charged with first-degree murder. He was arrested September 3rd.
Investigators found Rauch’s remains at a rural location near Indianola on April 10th.
