Twenty-two new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Vermilion County.
Vermilion County Health Department Administrator Doug Toole said Wednesday afternoon that the new cases consist of:
- Two people in their 70’s
- Four people in their 60’s
- Eight people in their 40’s
- Two people in their 30’s
- Four people in their 20’s
- Two teenagers
Locally, there are 103 active cases, with seven people hospitalized. Vermilion County has had a total of 570 coronavirus cases.
The health department is holding a drive-through flu vaccine clinic at its building at 200 S. College St. in Danville Thursday morning from 8-11.
Statewide, the Illinois Department of Public Health reported 1,848 new cases and 22 more deaths, bringing Illinois’ totals to 279,114 cases and 8,508 deaths. The seven-day statewide positivity rate remains flat at 3.5 percent.
