Carol Nichols, Director of the Illinois Small Business Development Center at Danville Area Community College, notes each year time is set aside to recognize the hard work of entrepreneurs to provide goods and services to communities across the country.
Nichols says the Small Business Development Center has served twice as many clients this year as business people look for options to help them deal with weeks of shutdowns, reduced capacities and increased safety requirements because of the COVID-19 pandemic. ‘’In spite of the challenges, our center has also worked with an increased number of clients interested in starting businesses. The entrepreneurial spirit is still strong and will endure despite these setbacks,’’ added Nichols.
