Students at Southwest Elementary School in Tilton are learning remotely this week.
District 118 Superintendent Alicia Geddis says a staff member in the building recently tested positive for COVID-19.
Students who came into close contact with the staff member have been contacted by the district.
Southwest Elementary School is closed until Monday, October 5th while is it cleaned and sanitized in accordance with state and local health guidelines.
Southwest is the second District 118 school to be closed this week after Mark Denman Elementary School went to full remote learning last week. Both schools are set to reopen next Monday.
Today (Monday, September 28th) has been designated as a remote-only learning day for all District 118 students.
