The City of Danville’s planning and zoning commission has approved a special-use permit for a new convenience store on Williams Street east of downtown.
Edward Clark told commissioners that he plans to open a store called the One Stop Mart at 701 E. Williams St., five blocks west of Bowman Avenue on Williams. He says he wants to give back to the community, and particularly the neighborhood, which doesn’t have a convenience store in the immediate area.
Commissioners unanimously approved a rezoning request by the Clark family to neighborhood business as well as a special use permit for the planned convenience store to be operated there.
The matter will go before the city council on October 20th.
