A steady stream of people continues to vote early here in Vermilion County as Election Day is less than two weeks away.
As of Tuesday afternoon, more than 1,800 people had cast their ballots at the Danville Election Commission office while a little over 1,200 had been received in the mail.
The Vermilion County Clerk’s office saw more than 1,700 ballots filled out inside the office and about 2,000 ballots returned in the mail at the start of this week.
Early voting at the Vermilion County Administration Building is weekdays from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until Noon. The county clerk’s office is located on the north end of the main floor of the building while the Danville Election Commission is located in the basement. The county clerk’s office will also be open extended hours until 7 p.m. next week.
