Danville District 118 staff members are hosting a fun event for students on Halloween day.
Staff members will be stationed outside of Danville High School between 2-4 p.m. on Saturday for a drive-through trick-or-treat event. Staff will be dressed in costumes and will bring candy to people’s cars.
The district’s event is one of a number of Halloween events planned throughout the area in place of regular events due to COVID-19. Kruger-Coan-Pape Funeral Home is hosting a drive-through trunk-or-treat event Saturday afternoon, and other events are taking place around the area as well.
The Danville Police Department has set official trick-or-treating hours from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday. They say kids should follow guidelines from the Illinois Department of Public Health, including wearing proper face coverings and not to travel in large groups.
