It’s been long-awaited across the country, but Election Day 2020 is finally here. Voters will head to the polls between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. today at sites across Danville, Vermilion County and around the state and country.
After a record-breaking early voting period and plenty more votes still to come from vote-by-mail, election officials here are anticipating some changes in the numbers. Sandy Delhaye of the Danville Election Commission says some people might choose to bring their absentee ballot to the poll but vote there instead…
The COVID-19 pandemic has cast a shadow over today’s election. Deputy Vermilion County Clerk Lindsey Light says her office is taking precautions such as sanitizing surfaces, but she says most voters won’t notice much difference.
