Two more people have died from COVID-19 in Vermilion County, while one death has been taken off of the county’s list due to an error.
Vermilion County Health Department Administrator Doug Toole says the two deaths are both men in their 80’s.
27 new cases were reported on Monday afternoon. Those consist of:
- One person in their 80’s
- Three people in their 70’s
- Four people in their 60’s
- Four people in their 50’s
- Four people in their 40’s
- Three people in their 30’s
- Two people in their 20’s
- Four teenagers
- One grade-school-aged child
- One toddler
Vermilion County currently has 178 active cases and 1,701 overall. 15 local residents are currently hospitalized with the virus.
COVID-19 testing is available this week on a drive-through basis at Danville Area Community College between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. through this coming Sunday.
