Students at two Vermilion County school districts are learning remotely through Thanksgiving week after positive COVID-19 cases.
Officials at the Salt Fork school district said in an email to families Thursday that the district will be on a remote learning schedule through November 27th. Salt Fork High School has already been on a remote schedule this week because of positive coronavirus cases, while the junior high and South Elementary in Jamaica had been remote on Thursday because of a boil order in Fairmount.
Students at Rossville-Alvin are also learning remotely through the end of Thanksgiving break. The district made the decision after multiple quarantines throughout the district.
One school in Danville District—Liberty Elementary School—has also suspended in-person learning.
All of the schools in Vermilion County currently on remote learning schedules are set to return to in-person instruction on Monday, November 30th.
