The Vermilion County Health Department says another person has died of COVID-19, the second day in a row where a death has been recorded.
Administrator Doug Toole says the person who died is a man in his 60’s.
Toole also announced 63 new coronavirus cases Wednesday evening, consisting of:
- One person in their 80’s
- Eight people in their 70’s
- 12 people in their 60’s
- 10 people in their 50’s
- Six people in their 40’s
- Five people in their 30’s
- Eight people in their 20’s
- Six teenagers
- Two grade-school-aged children
- One toddler
- Two infants
There are currently 24 people from Vermilion County who are hospitalized with the virus. 57 people have been released from isolation in the past 24 hours, leaving 261 active cases. The county’s rolling seven-day positivity rate is down by a tenth of a percent to 14.2 percent.
