Another person from Vermilion County has died of COVID-19.
Vermilion County Health Department Administrator Doug Toole says a man in his 70’s has died from the coronavirus, making him the 28th county resident to die from the virus.
Toole also announced 63 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday afternoon. Those consist of:
- One person in their 90’s
- One person in their 80’s
- Five people in their 70’s
- Three people in their 60’s
- Seven people in their 50’s
- Eight people in their 40’s
- 11 people in their 30’s
- 12 people in their 20’s
- Seven teenagers
- One grade-school-aged child
- One preschooler
- Two toddlers
- Two infants
Right now, there are 23 Vermilion County residents in the hospital with the virus, down six from Monday. The county has 258 active cases and a rolling positivity rate of 14.3 percent.
