Mayor Rickey Williams Jr. says all residents should wear face masks and take other precautions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
He says at the very least, people should wear face masks at all times when they are out in public, unless they are eating or drinking. He says this is the easiest thing to do to avoid infecting others.
“I understand people have different ideologies about things, but, in my opinion, it’s the very least we can do to show basic consideration and concern and respect for the people that we love and we live with in our community,” Williams says.
Mayor Williams also says people should avoid large gatherings, sanitize their hands and to socially distance while in grocery stores and other areas.
