Drive-through COVID-19 testing will be available in Danville on Friday.
Employees with the Illinois Department of Public Health will be conducting the testing from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Vermilion County Health Department, 200 S. College St. in Danville.
Testing is free, and is open to anyone, including both Illinois and Indiana residents. Samples will be collected using a nasal swab. Test results will be available in a few days.
In addition, local residents who might need to be tested on Thanksgiving Day can do so at the Carle location on Fairchild Street between 8 a.m. and Noon. Thanksgiving Day testing is also available at Carle’s facility in Hoopeston during those same hours on Thursday.
