The Vermilion County Health Department says that 32 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed locally.
Administrator Doug Toole says that 34 county residents are hospitalized with the virus. Vermilion County currently has 332 active cases and a total of 3,755 cases since March.
The new cases, broken down by age, consist of:
- Three people in their 60’s
- Six people in their 50’s
- Six people in their 40’s
- Six people in their 30’s
- Seven people in their 20’s
- Two teenagers
- One grade-school-aged child
- One toddler
Toole says that 75 people attended the drive-through COVID-19 testing clinic that was held Sunday afternoon at the health department building.
The Illinois Department of Public Health announced 8,691 new cases and 90 deaths. The statewide positivity rate is 10.3 percent, and locally it is 13.8 percent.
