District 118 administrators are asking parents to fill out a survey that will give them a better picture on what parents prefer to do for schooling for the rest of the school year.
The survey can be found at the school district’s website and on its Facebook page.
Parents will be asked what method of learning (in-person/blended or remote) they prefer for their student. They will also be asked if they are willing to send their child to school in-person if the district should decide to do that.
Superintendent Alicia Geddis says the district needs to establish a plan for its second semester, which is scheduled to begin on January 25th. She says that even though in-person learning might not be possible at that time, the district still needs to develop a plan for the rest of the year.
District 118 schools have been on full remote learning since Thanksgiving week and will be until at least January 11th due to a planned rise in COVID-19 cases across the state.
