The economic development coordinator for the City of Decatur has been selected as the next leader of Vermilion Advantage.
Tim Dudley, who previously worked for the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity and was a member of the Macon County Board, will replace Vicki Haugen, who died of cancer on February 11th.
Dudley has worked for Decatur’s city administration since 2017, and has specialized in economic development in central Illinois for nearly a decade. His key achievements include the $65 million construction of a community care campus. In his previous role, he was instrumental in securing grant support for construction of the Midwest Inland Port for ADM.
Dudley’s appointment will be considered during a virtual meeting of the Vermilion Advantage board on December 21st. If approved, he will begin his position at the economic development agency on January 4th.
