Danville police say they are investigating a shooting Tuesday night on the east side of the city that left a teenager with non-life-threatening injuries.
Commander Josh Webb says the 14-year-old boy was walking outside to take out the trash at 7:30 p.m. at a house on National Street when he heard gunshots and was struck by gunfire.
The boy was treated at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center and later released.
