Danville police are investigating an armed robbery that took place at the Family Dollar store near the intersection of Main and Griffin streets last night.
Commander Josh Webb says a man entered the store around 9:30 p.m. armed with a handgun and demanded money from the cash register. The suspect took off with an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen running on foot to the west of the business.
The suspect is described as a Black male, wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, with jeans and white shoes.
