33 more Vermilion County residents have tested positive for COVID-19, according to Vermilion County Health Department Administrator Doug Toole.
Toole says that the new cases, broken down by age, consist of:
- Two people in their 80’s
- Seven people in their 60’s
- Six people in their 50’s
- Seven people in their 40’s
- Three people in their 30’s
- Five teenagers
- Three grade-school-aged children
Currently, 4,248 vaccines have been administered in Vermilion County, and 504 people are considered fully vaccinated, or a population percentage of 0.66 percent. In Champaign County, 4,805 people have received both doses of the vaccine, while the county’s testing partners currently have 7,480 doses on hand.
Adams County, which includes Quincy, has the largest percentage of the population who are considered fully vaccinated, with almost three percent with that distinction.
The state of Illinois has seen 219,367 residents vaccinated completely, or 1.72 percent of the overall population.
