The Vermilion County Health Department says that 42 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed locally.
Administrator Doug Toole says that 12 county residents are hospitalized from the virus currently, and the county now has 328 active cases. A total of 8,264 positive cases have been reported overall.
The Illinois Department of Public Health says that Region 6’s rolling positivity rate is 3.8 percent, while Vermilion County’s is 4.9 percent.
1,378 Vermilion County residents are now considered fully vaccinated against the virus, and a total of 10,388 doses have been administered.
