Danville police are investigating an armed robbery at a gas station early Sunday morning.
Commander Josh Webb says that around 2 a.m. Sunday, a man entered the convenience store at the Marathon station in the 3400-block of East Main Street and demanded cash from the register while pointing a handgun at the clerk. The employee handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled.
The suspect is described as a white man wearing jeans at a brown jacket, and driving a white-colored sedan. He was last seen driving southbound on Lynch Road toward Interstate 74.
