Visitors to Vermilion County’s government website will notice it has gone through an upgrade.
Karen Rudd, the county’s Assistant Director of Technology Services, says the new website was taken online on Tuesday. This is the first upgrade to the county’s web platform in several years.
Visitors to the new site can now see a drop-down menu for all county departments in a menu on the top of the web page. There are also links to the more popular services, such as COVID-19, the county board and job opportunities.
Rudd says all of the departments and services are a part of the new site, including the sheriff’s department, public defender’s office and veteran’s assistance, rather than being on separate websites. She says it is a “collaborative effort” between county employees.
The public can access the website through the same address as the old one, VerCounty.org.
