- February 22: Project Uplift This year we put together love bags with supplies and resources for displaced persons. Bags will be available at our Curbside door on February 22. Call 217-477-5227 to reserve your bag in advance.
- February 23: Technology Tuesdays Class — Zoom Etiquette. Learn the Dos and Don’ts of Zoom meetings. 7 p.m. on Zoom.
- February 25: Book Clubs are Murder! Join our murder mystery themed book club. 6 p.m. on Zoom. This month we are discussing The Mysterious Affair at Styles by Agatha Christie.
- February 26: 70s Music Trivia Night. Feeling Lonely? Missing the vibe of a karaoke night? Join us via Zoom for a musical trivia challenge that is guaranteed to have you singing and dancing. This program is open to all ages. Friday night at 7 p.m.
- February 27: The DPL Writers’ Group brings together aspiring and accomplished writers of all levels to learn about writing and publishing and to share their work for helpful feedback. From 10 a.m. to Noon on Zoom. For adults, ages 18 and over.
- February 27: Cherry & Jerry Ragtime Concert. Explore some of the early African-American composers and performers who were instrumental in creating ragtime, jazz, and blues. 1 p.m. on Zoom.

- Adult Subscription Boxes: Based on our popular teen subscription box program, we would like to introduce an Adult Subscription Box. Our February Box is set around The Princess Bride by William Goldman. Visit our sign-up page to apply.
- Children’s Art Challenge: Each month we will have a new art challenge. Send us a photo of your (child’s) art and we will post it on both Facebook and our Website. Winners will be chosen at the end of the month in three categories ( Pre-K to 2nd grade, 3rd to 5th grade, and 6th to 8th grade). Submissions must be family-friendly. February’s challenge: Imagine a Chinese Dragon. Submit your work online.
- Children’s Curbside Craft Kits: Available on a first come first served basis, Danville Public Library has craft kits for children at Curbside Pick Up. This week, pick up a Snowman craft. You can also contact the Children’s Dept. at 217-477-5225 to reserve a kit.
- Interactive Movie Experience: Play games while you watch your favorite movies! We have game packets available for Black Panther, 101 Dalmatians, Mulan, and Guardians of the Galaxy. Available on a first come first served basis. Call 217-477-5225 to reserve your movie packet.
- Personal Shopping: Let our staff be your personal shopper. Give us a ring and we’ll choose something especially for you! Call 217-477-5228 for adult books, 217-477-5225 for children’s books, 217-477-5226 for teen books, and 217-477-5227 for large print and audiobooks.
- Story Walk: Enjoy a quiet walk and read a book! We have Click, Clack, Moo by Doreen Cronin on our back (South) windows all month in February. (The wall that faces Madison St.) The Story Walk Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle & Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg Hubbard Library.
- Teen Online Art Show: Each month we will have a new theme. Send us your art and we will post on both Facebook and our Website. Winners will be chosen at the end of the month. Submissions must be family-friendly. February’s theme: Shades of Red. You can submit your work online.
- Teen Grab Bags: Available on a first come first served basis, Danville Public Library has craft kits for teens. This week’s grab bag is Bath Bombs. Contact Teen Zone at 217-477-5226 to reserve a kit for Curbside Pick Up.
- Teen Subscription Boxes: Our popular teen subscription box program blends elements of a monthly subscription box with elements of a traditional book club. March’s book is a romance. Application deadline is February 28. To apply and for further details, visit our page online.
- Tween Subscription Boxes: Introducing a subscription box program for tweens! We will have a new box available every other month, starting in February. Our February Box is set around Mr. Lemoncello and the Titanium Ticket by Chris Grabenstein. Supplies limited. Open to children aged 10-14.
