A Georgetown man will be spending the next 28 years behind bars after admitting to a number of sex crimes involving children.
38-year-old Ian Dukes pleaded guilty in August on two counts of attempted enticement of a minor, one count of attempted child sexual exploitation, one count of sex trafficking and one count of receiving child pornography.
A co-defendant in the case, 43-year-old Julie Snyder of Urbana, entered a guilty plea in November to a charge of attempted enticement of a minor and is scheduled to be sentenced in April.
Federal prosecutors say the case involved two children. Both Dukes and Snyder have remained in federal custody since their arrests last spring.
The charges were the result of an investigation by the FBI, Illinois State Police, Urbana Police Department and the Illinois Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Dukes will have to spend 15 years on supervised release once he is released from prison.
