A group of approximately 260 fifth- and sixth-graders who attend South View Upper Elementary School began attending in-person on Tuesday. In a letter to parents, Superintendent Dr. Alicia Geddis says the school’s hours are now 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., and students will attend on an A/B schedule, with half the students attending on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the other on Wednesdays and Fridays. Each Monday will be a remote learning day for South View students.
North Ridge Middle School will be open for regular in-person learning on Monday, March 8th. The district’s learning pods have already begun, which means that students who need additional learning help can receive it in small groups. Basketball has resumed and track will begin in the spring, although fans are not allowed to attend basketball games due to space restrictions.
Danville High School has started in-person learning already with 50 career and technical education students attending in-person currently.
