A 41-year-old woman is facing charges involving a Westville man who has been missing for more than two months.
Vermilion County State’s Attorney Jacqueline Lacy tells VermilionCountyFirst.com that Michelle Ingram was initially booked into the Public Safety Building on February 24th on a charge of concealing a homicidal death, but so far has only been arraigned in court with aggravated battery in a public place, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery causing great bodily harm. She was arraigned in court on Friday and bond was set at $500,000.
Lacy says that Ingram’s case is related to the December 27th disappearance of 46-year-old Richard Truett, who was last seen leaving his residence with a female acquaintance.
Truett is described as a white man, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, flannel jacket and blue jeans with brown boots. The case is still an active investigation by the Vermilion County Sheriff’s Department.
Ingram is facing charges in another case in Vermilion County of battery and criminal trespassing. She previously pleaded guilty in a 2002 forgery case and was sent to prison in 2008 after repeated probation violations.
