A vacant house in Danville has been destroyed by fire.
Danville firefighters responded to the structure, located in the 900-block of North Gilbert Street, across from the Carle Clinic location.
The house was fully engulfed around 5:30 p.m. when emergency personnel arrived at the scene. Firefighters stayed at the scene until around 8:30 p.m., but returned at 11:30 p.m. after the fire rekindled.
