Carle’s Hoopeston Regional Medical Center will no longer be offering drive-through COVID-19 testing starting on Monday.
Hospital Administrator Heather Tucker says that the facility has seen a dramatic decrease in the number of people receiving COVID tests in the past few weeks, and so testing will go back to being indoors at Convenient Care.
Any individual needing a COVID-19 test due to symptoms or exposure is encouraged to contact Carle’s COVID-19 Hotline at 217-902-6100, call their Carle provider or visit their nearest Convenient Care location.
Vermilion County Health Department Administrator Doug Toole announced yesterday that the Illinois Department of Public Health has canceled its drive-through testing event at the health department that was scheduled for March 17th. Another event is still scheduled for March 31st.
COVID testing is also available at Aunt Martha’s Health Center, OSF Prompt Care, and at Carle’s facility on Fairchild Street in Danville.
