OSF HealthCare is honoring its employees for their bravery, care and love during the past year of the pandemic. OSF HealthCare’s Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville and Heart of Mary Medical Center in Urbana are being lit in pink this week as a thank-you to the hospitals Mission Partners (employees). Pink is the color that signifies appreciation.
It was on March 13, 2020 that the COVID-19 global pandemic was declared a national emergency in the United States. Since then, there have been hundreds of thousands of COVID-related deaths in the U.S., but a statement from OSF HealthCare notes there has also been healing and hope. From testing and treatment to vaccines and more, the medical community has made tremendous leaps forward, and our OSF HealthCare Mission Partners (employees) have been there every step of the way (added the statement).

The OSF hospitals in Danville and Urbana are among those across Illinois and in Michigan that will see the pink lights displayed over the next week.
