After many years of owning and operating the Wendy’s restaurants in Danville, Earle Steiner is now helping other business owners with their goals and needs.
Since January, Steiner has been the director of the Small Business Development Center, which is funded by the Small Business Administration and the state, and is located at Danville Area Community College. He told WDAN’s Linda Bolton that many new business owners often think they can handle everything on their own, but that is not usually the case.
“As a small business owner, you really can’t do it all,” he says. “You actually have to hire people around you that are just as sharp or even sharper than you, to make it actually happen. That’s how it comes out as a positive result.”
Steiner says that he is available to consult new business owners or potential business owners about all aspects of their business, including planning, financing, marketing and operations. Some new owners can also apply for loans through the government.
Beginning in May, Steiner says he will be hosting monthly conversations with business owners centered around digital operations, including cyber safety, payroll and Google business services.
