The New York Post was dragged on social media for an article that they wrote about DMX while he is fighting for his life. As previously reported, the rapper had an overdose on Friday (April 2nd), followed by a heart attack and is currently on life support at a New York hospital. Yesterday (April 7th), Sarah Paynter, who writes for the Post, penned an article about the rapper, entitled “New York Post Writes Slander Piece About DMX As He Clings To Life.”
The article went on to write about the financial state of the rapper and his various real estate properties.
Of course, social media had a lot to say. Chuck D of Public Enemy tweeted, “Shame on you all.” Another person tweeted, “I think it’s really wild that @nypost still hasn’t deleted this offensive nasty article, retracted the story OR apologized while DMX is fighting for his life.” Another wrote, “YALL ARE TRAASHHHH FOR THIS! WTF!?! Tryna kick a black man while he’s down??? Well, check is f*cking record of accomplishments & show some f*ckin respect!!!Do y’all even know he was drugged & that’s why he became the way he is?!? & despite all that he still became a legend!”
As of press time, Paynter has deleted her social media.
