Two more people from Vermilion County have died from COVID-19, increasing the death toll to 125 locally.
Vermilion County Health Department Administrator Doug Toole says that the two deaths are both men, one in his 90’s and the other in his 60’s. The health department also announced 14 new cases Tuesday morning, which include one person each in their 70’s and 60’s, one teenager, three grade-school-age children and one preschooler.
Currently, Vermilion County has 250 active cases. Two of those people are hospitalized.
A limited number of appointments are available for today’s single-dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine clinic at the Fischer Theatre and the other on Saturday at the health department. Registration can be done on the department’s website. Appointments are available between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. today and between 10:15-11 a.m. at Saturday’s event.
