Danville police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Subway restaurant in the 2700-block of North Vermilion Street on Monday night.
Commander Josh Webb says that officers responded to the business around 7:45 p.m. Monday. An employee stated that a white man had entered the business demanding cash, and threatening to pull out a gun if he did not obtain the money. The worker handed over an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, and the man left on foot.
The suspect is described as being around 40-50 years old and wearing jeans, a gray sweatshirt and a light-colored hat. No description of the firearm was available since it was never displayed.
