With the temporary pause of the Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccine being lifted, the Vermilion County Health Department is planning to offer the single-dose vaccine at several different locations around the southern part of the county over the next two weeks.
The clinics will be held at the following locations:
- Thursday, April 29 from 3-7 p.m. at Georgetown-Ridge Farm High School
- Saturday, May 1 from 9 a.m.-Noon at Tilton Community Center
- Wednesday, May 5 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Oakwood Grade School
- Thursday, May 6 from 3-7 p.m. at Salt Fork Junior High School (Jamaica)
Residents can find a registration link and a fact sheet about the Johnson and Johnson vaccine at the health department’s website. They can also register by phone by calling 217-431-2662, extension 263 or 264.
In addition to the single-dose clinics, two more Moderna clinics in Danville have been scheduled:
- Wednesday, April 28 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. at Mer Che Manor (Vermilion Housing Authority residents only)
- Friday, April 30 from 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at Salvation Army
Both of the Moderna clinics are walk-in clinics without appointments.
