Area families facing food insecurity can receive free food during two distribution events this month, both being sponsored by Eastern Illinois FoodBank.
The first event is being held this coming Saturday, May 8th, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at South View Upper Elementary School (133 E. 9th St., next to Danville Stadium). The second event is on Saturday, May 22nd from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Habit for Humanity Re-Store on North Vermilion Street. Both are open to residents of Vermilion County.
In compliance with CDC guidelines, clients will remain in their cars and boxes of food will be loaded into their vehicle by volunteers. Clients should clear space in their trunk or back seat prior to arriving at the distribution to prevent contact.
Those planning to attend should pre-register at www.EIFclient.com, although doing so does not guarantee a place in line.
