Governor JB Pritzker stopped by Champaign today (Tuesday, May 11, 2021) to announce fourth round funding of $250-million dollars for the Rebuild Illinois program. The money is being made available to advance municipal, township, and county projects across the state.
The Governor says the program has done a lot already….
“Already, our Rebuild Illinois plan has improved over 3,000 miles of highways, completed over 180 bridges and launched hundreds more projects,” he says.
The fourth round disbursement coming to Vermilion County is $423,351. The City of Danville is getting $362,768 for its fourth round payment. Governor Pritzker says there will be six disbursements of Rebuild Illinois funds all total…..
“Rebuild Illinois isn’t just about building gleaming new state roads and bridges, it’s also about fixing local infrastructure that makes a big difference in people’s daily lives,” he notes.
In addition to Vermilion County and the City of Danville, fourth round disbursements of state funds are also being released to other municipalities and townships across the county.
