Registration ends the Wednesday prior to the start of College for Kids. Classes are filled on a first-come first-served basis. There will be no waiting lists for classes. Register early to ensure you get the classes you want.

Minecraft; June 14-18; Noon-2:30PM; Ages 8-11; $100
This camp challenges kids to imagine and create a cohesive world in Minecraft over the course of the week. Campers will plan and design a world around a theme, and brainstorm what it should contain, then design and build the structures and environments of that world. They will learn how to add redstone and command block features to add automation, game mechanics, challenges and hidden bonuses. The level of this class is very flexible. Held in the eSports Lab in the lower-level of Clock Tower Center in room 005.
Basketball Camp; June 7-11; 9AM-Noon; Ages 9-18; $50
Students will be broken up into groups based on skill level. Work on all the fundamentals of basketball: including shooting, passing, defense, dribbling, rules of the game, and good sportsmanship. Held in the gym at Mary Miller.
25th Anniversary Sports Media Camp; June 21-25; 1PM-4PM; Entering Grades 7-12; $75
It starts here, a career in the Sports Media Business. Participants will be instructed by members of the Neuhoff Media staff with special guests coming from the biggest jobs in broadcasting and digital sports media. Actual experience will consist of interviewing, play-by-play, sports writing, video editing, public address announcing, TV studio work and even broadcast an actual Danville Dan’s baseball game live from Danville Stadium. This is a nationally recognized summer program that has past participants working in the NFL, MLB, radio, TV, digital and social media positions around the country. It’s the longest running program of its kind in the country! The Sports Media Camp is for girls and boys entering grades 7-12. Held in Mary Miller Room 300.
Wild for Drones; June 7-11; 9AM-Noon; Ages 11-14; $100
This summer camp is designed for both beginners and experienced drone pilots. We will spend the week learning basic drone safety, how to operate a drone manually and how to code flight paths using DroneBlocks software. Students will have plenty of flying time and practice with a DJI Tello. Our campers will also get the chance to experience the DACC Ag Department’s DJI Phantom and “Steve” our DJI M200 drone, which are utilized in various industries including Agriculture, Criminal Justice, and Aerial photography. Teams of students will have the opportunity to design their own obstacle that will be used in our end of camp obstacle course race! Students will enjoy a week of excitement, teamwork, and fun!
FREE Career Camp; Completed grades 5-7; June 7-11; 8AM-11AM
Experience a variety of career pathways such as culinary arts, construction trades, computer graphics, criminal justice, health occupations, and horticulture. VVEDS Career Camp is five exciting days of exploring and introducing camp goes to career courses. Camp goers will have the opportunity to gain an understanding of the work environment, support work readiness and gain job related knowledge and skills. Sponsored by the Vermilion Vocational Educations Delivery System. For students who just completed grades 5-7. Held at DACC. 12
Welding Tech Level II; July 19-23; 8AM-Noon; Ages 13-18; $150
Must complete level one to participate in this camp. Build upon the skills you learned in the first camp to create your very own custom project. Held at the Technology Center Room 139.
Car Camp; July 20-22; 9AM-11AM and July 23; 3PM-8PM; Ages 14-18; $75
Do you want to learn more about caring for your vehicle? Learn how to perform a safety inspection of your vehicle and get hands-on experience changing the oil and rotating the tires. You’ll save money be learning essential car maintenance skills. On Friday you will take a field trip to the U.S. 41 Drag Strip in Morocco, Indiana to watch the DACC race car in action.

Get ready to explore the world of STEM Technology. You’ll be preforming experiments all week, learning how and why things work, and using reasoning and problem solving to building objects. Building and program robots that you create with Legos©. This is a hands-on camp so bring your brain power and be ready to focus. Camp is held at Bremer Conference Center Rooms 140 and 141.
Explore Pottery; July 19-23; Noon-2:30PM.; Ages 10-14. $100
Wrap your hands around a three-dimensional project that you completely design and create. Come use the pottery wheel, hand-build pottery and make sculptures. Learn bas ic skills for sculpting and manipulating clay with pinch, coiling, and slab techniques. All work will be glazed and fired in the kiln. All pieces will need to be picked up at a later date. Located in Clock Tower room 120.
Future Thespians; June 21-25; 9AM-10:30AM.; Ages 12-16. $75
Have you always wondered what it was like to perform in front of an audience? Then this theater class for beginners is perfect for you. During camp you will work on stage presence, improvisation, props, and voice projection. Enjoy standing on the Fisher Theater stage where hundreds of actors have stood before. You will present a mini play to friends and family at the conclusion of camp. Held at the Fischer Theater.
DACC Master Baker; July 12-16; 12PM-2:30PM; Ages 8-12; $125
You’ve watched the kids baking championship on TV and now it’s your turn to get into the kitchen and start baking. You will learn how to create delicious sweet treats along with some decorating tricks. Do you wonder what mascarpone and fondant are? Why would you have to sift flour? And how do you make sweet buttercream frosting? Come find out. When you take the skills, tips, and tricks you learn during this camp you’ll be on your way to becoming a master baker. Held in Bremer Conference Center Culinary Kitchen.
Video Production; June 14-17; 9AM-Noon; Ages 10-14; $100
Light, camera, action: literally. Produce your very own newscast starting with writing the scripts, reading from the teleprompter, running cameras, and directing the show. You’ll also shoot video around campus and create your own commercial. Enter into the digital world of video production. Held in the lower-level of Clock Tower center room 001.
Video Editing; June 21-24; 9AM-Noon; Ages 10-14; $100
We’ve all watched cool videos on YouTube. Now it’s your turn to create them. Learn how to take video off your phone and edit the footage. We will cover all the basics of video editing including cutting, adding graphics and transitions, doing voiceovers and adding sound effects and music overlays. If you want to continue your editing skills at home we will show you a high-end video editing programs so you can continue to film and create. Located in room 001 Clock Tower.
First Gig Rock n’ Roll Camp; June 21-26; 9AM-5PM; Ages 10-17; $250
If you’re between the ages of 10-17 and you have a desire to play guitar, bass, drums, or be a lead vocalist then this camp is perfect for you. You don’t have to be an expert or even have played before. You will be taught everything you need to know to perform live on stage. Your first gig will be held on the last day of camp. All participants will be working with professional musicians who have worked in their specific discipline for years. Held in Bremer Conference Center on campus.
Hip Hop/Commercial Music Camp; July 26-30; 12:30PM-3:30PM; $100
Join us during this exciting new camp where it’s nothing but creating music. Learn how to make beats, create and mix new samples, and record audio. Spend the week in the state-of-the-art DACC Creation Studio where you will use keyboards, DJ turntables, sound recording/editing software on iMacs. You’ll also get instruction on songwriting. Held in Clock Tower room 003.
DJ Mix-a-Lot; July 26-30; 9AM-Noon; Ages 10-17; $100
Learn the basics of blending songs and making beats while learning the business and technical side of what it takes to be a working DJ. Campers will each get hands-on experience working with DJ controllers and Serato Pro. We will be discussing all avenues of DJing from club work, public events, parties, radio and sporting events. Each camper will get their own DJ rig to use for the week. Held in Clock Tower room 003.
