A Danville man was airlifted to a hospital on Saturday after an accident involving two motorcycles outside of a rural Danville tavern.
The Vermilion County Sheriff’s Department reports that Branden Klugow was exiting the gravel lot at Rosie’s Tavern near Grape Creek at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday when he lost control and accelerated too quickly.
Once his motorcycle hit the road pavement, Klugow was thrown off, falling head first onto the pavement. His motorcycle continued to skid on the pavement until it struck a motorcycle driven by Pamela Fares of Tilton. Fares was able to exit her bike before the collision occurred.
Klugow was airlifted from the scene to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Fares was not injured.
