A silver-colored vehicle was seen leaving the scene. The man received a wound to the back of the head that appeared to have been caused by shrapnel.
The second incident occurred in the 900-block of Fowler Street, near the Fair Oaks Housing Complex, at 2:07 a.m. A 31-year-old man was struck by a bullet as he was walking between Fairchild and Moore streets.
Neither man suffered life-threatening injuries.
