It has been almost 30 years since the Rush Limbaugh Show began airing on WDAN. As the program concludes its run following Limbaugh’s death earlier this year, a new program will begin Monday, June 14. The Peoria-based Markley, Van Camp and Robbins Show will begin airing from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. daily on the heritage talk radio station in Danville.
“We were saddened with the passing of Rush,” Neuhoff Media Danville General Manager Michelle Campbell notes. “What Rush meant to talk radio goes without saying. He was the most influential talk show host of his or any generation.”
The next chapter for the Danville station in the important 11 a.m.-2 p.m. time slot is a show that centers on the views of a three-host panel. Each of the hosts comes from a different generation, and two of the hosts have deep Midwestern roots.
“Its very much like the early Rush Limbaugh Show,” Operations Manager Tom Barnes says. “Markley, Van Camp and Robbins focuses on specific topics and stories making news around the country and the world. The show brings a conservative view to those topics and stories; we believe the audience will find it both informative and entertaining.”
Markley, Van Camp and Robbins will be heard on 1490-AM and streamed live on VermilionCountyFirst.com.
Neuhoff Media Danville owns and operates Danville radio stations, WDNL-FM/D-102 (102.1), WRHK-FM/K-ROCK (94.9 FM), WDAN-AM (1490) and publishes Vermilion County First.com.
