Vermilion County youth involved in 4-H are having a busy week at this year’s county fair. They submitted general projects for judging on Monday and also hope to take home Blue Ribbons with their animals. A 4-H Horse Show and Tractor and Lawn Tractor Driving Contest were part of the fun early Wednesday (June 23rd, 2021).

{AUDIO: ‘’We’ve had a little bit of everything. Visual Arts, cooking, robotics, eSports is a new one this year, family heritage, geology, natural resources, tractors – and then all of your livestock projects. Pretty much if there’s an interest, we have a project for it.’’}
On Thursday, 4-H activities at the fair include a Rabbit Show at 9:00 a.m., Goat Show at 1:00 p.m., Sheep Show at 4:00 p.m., and a Swine Show at 6:00 p.m. And more activities are also taking place at the fair for the 4-H youngsters….
{AUDIO: ‘’On Friday we have Beef and Poultry Shows, along with our Master Showmanship Contest, and the Livestock Auction. And then on Saturday we have our Dog, Cat, and Small Pet Shows.’’}

Other events at the Vermilion County Fair & Expo on Thursday include a Horse Open Fun Show at 6:00 p.m. and Truck & Tractor Pull at 6:00 p.m. Carnival hours on Thursday are from 6 until 10 p.m. You get unlimited rides after paying a $6 gate admission.
