Danville Police are seeking a hit and run driver who left a local man seriously hurt Monday night (July 12, 2021). Police Commander Joshua Webb says officers responded to the area of Williams and Fairweight Streets around 11:50 p.m. and found a 29-year old Danville man lying in the street with head injuries.
Witnesses told police the man was riding a motorized bicycle east-bound on Williams Street when he was struck from behind by a vehicle. After striking the man the vehicle left the scene traveling east-bound on Williams Street. The unit being sought by police is described as a dark colored Hyundai with driver’s side front-end damage.
The man who was hit was transported to an area hospital where he was last reported to be in serious condition.
