Vermilion County has lost four more residents to the COVID-19 pandemic, bringing the county’s death toll to 153 (since the pandemic began). Health Department Administrator Douglas Toole says the latest victims are a woman in her 30s, a woman in her 50s, a man in his 60s, and a man in his 80s. ‘’Our sympathies go out to their families and friends,’’ said Toole in a news release.
There are two new cases of COVID being reported in the county, taking the total of positive cases to 10,116 since the pandemic started. Currently four Vermilion County residents are hospitalized with COVID, and there are currently 36 active COVID cases in the county. Neither of the two new cases reported that they have been fully vaccinated.
The Vermilion County Health Department will be hosting a vaccination clinic at its headquarters at 200 College Street in Danville on Wednesday, July 14, 2021.
Johnson & Johnson vaccinations will be offered from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., and Moderna vaccinations will be available from 11:00 a.m. until noon.
