A woman whose vision was to start Soul Recovery Center in 2014, and has since started the STEP Recovery Center, has been named the Danville AMBUCS 2020 First Citizen. She is Wendy Lambert who the AMBUCS say gives her time relentlessly through volunteer work.
The AMBUCS said in a news release that Lambert is a phenomenal woman who, outside of her job driving trucks and maintaining a photography business, somehow finds time to make a difference in the lives of others.
Lambert has been a volunteer with the Lynch Area Fire Protection District. She is currently a member of the Patriot Guard Riders, Danville Chapter – a motorcycle group supporting local Veterans. Lambert became a certified Recovery Life Coach, and thanks God and Narcotics Anonymous for being 28 years clean from her own addictions.
