Golfers from across Illinois will be in Danville this weekend to participate in the 7th Annual American Legion State Golf Tournament.
Opening ceremonies are at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, August 7th, at Harrison Park Golf Course. It will include American Legion Riders, a presentation of colors, the National Anthem, and a fly-over. Danville American Legion Post 210’s Honor Guard and area post Honor Guards will present the colors.
The event is limited to 54 teams for the four-person scramble.
Play begins at both Harrison Park and Turtle Run on day one at 9:00 a.m. Golfers will switch courses on day two.
American Legion Post 210 will have activities on Saturday night, including dinner and drink options available to the public.
