Danville School District 118 has announced three new assistant principals. Scot Vogel (on left in photo) is becoming a new Assistant Principal of Danville High School. He is a DACC and EIU graduate who is described as a ‘team player’. Since returning to District 118 in 2015, Vogel served as a dean at Danville High, worked a year in the AP program, and taught Social Science for 2 years.
Amber Davis has been selected to become Assistant Principal of North Ridge Middle School. District 118 Director of Human Resources, Kimberly Pabst, told School Board members that ‘’Amber is a leader. She is proactive in serving the students of our district and community to ensure opportunities for our students,’’ said Pabst.
Davis began her teaching career at East Park during the 2014-2015 school year. She later moved to North Ridge Middle School and worked as a Dean of Students.
Eric Nethercott will serve as Assistant Principal of Mark Denman Elementary School. He has served in a wide range of teaching over the past six years including English, Reading, Social Studies, and being a College Counselor. Pabst described Nethercott as a life-long learner who puts students first and ‘’makes every effort to make all students feel like an important member of the classroom.’’
All three appointments are effective immediately.
